Fishing
Fishing has been a popular activity at Lake Pleasant since the Arizona Game and Fish Department began stocking fish after construction of the original Waddell Dam and diversion dam.
Today, the lake supports a variety of warm-water sport fish. Species commonly found in Lake Pleasant include:
- White Bass
- Striped Bass
- Largemouth Bass
- Bluegill
- White Crappie
- Black Crappie
- Bigmouth Buffalo
- Channel Catfish
- Flathead Catfish
- Green Sunfish
- Redear Sunfish
- Tilapia
Throughout the year, Lake Pleasant hosts several organized fishing tournaments.
