Boat-In Camping at Lake Pleasant Regional Park

Experience Lake Pleasant in a unique way with Boat-In Camping, where your boat serves as both your transportation and your campsite. This option is ideal for anglers and boaters who want to fish late into the evening or head out early in the morning.

Boat-in camping is available at the 10-Lane Main Parking Lot and requires a reservation.


What Is Boat-In Camping?

Boat-in camping combines boating and camping. Campers must:

  • Camp on the water (no shoreline camping permitted)
  • Use a motorized watercraft as their camping unit
  • Park their towing vehicle and trailer in an assigned space at the 10-Lane Parking Lot

Camping within the parking lot or on the shoreline is not permitted.


Reservations

  • In person at the park entry station
  • Online reservations are not available at this time.

Same-day reservations:

  • Must be handled in person at the park
  • Are available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • May not be available if sites are full
  • Reservation fee is waived for same-day bookings

Approximately 30 designated boat-in camping spaces are available. Each space is approximately 45 feet long by 12 feet wide, accommodating most boat trailers and towing vehicles.


Fees

The following fees apply:

  • Primitive camping fee
  • Motorized watercraft fee
  • Reservation fee (waived for same-day reservations)

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: 1:00 p.m.
  • Check-Out: 12:00 p.m.

Boat-in campers must arrive and check in before 8:00 p.m. Late arrivals will not be permitted access into the park.

Vehicles or trailers remaining past check-out time may be subject to tow at the owner’s expense.


Parking Information

  • Campers must park within their assigned boat-in camping space at the 10-Lane Parking Lot.
  • One additional vehicle (without trailer) may accompany the primary vehicle.
  • The additional vehicle must:
    • Arrive at the same time as the primary vehicle and boat trailer
    • Park in the designated overflow area
    • Display a boat-in camping hangtag
  • Vehicles that do not arrive with the primary vehicle and trailer will not be permitted entry.

Boat & Camping Requirements

  • Boats must be equipped with proper lights and required safety gear for night boating.
  • No campfires permitted.
  • No mooring available — boaters must provide their own anchor.
  • Do not tie up to buoys or docks.
