Trails are designated for non-motorized use only, allowing visitors to safely experience the Sonoran Desert in its natural, undisturbed state.

Interpretive Rangers also offer guided hikes throughout the park system, providing opportunities to learn more about the desert environment. Most programs are included with the standard day-use entry fee.

Pets on Trails

Pets are welcome in Maricopa County Parks and on designated trails, provided they are:

  • Kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet
  • Cleaned up after by their owners

Please help keep trails clean and enjoyable for all visitors by properly disposing of pet waste.
