ATV/OHV

All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) are not permitted on trails or dirt pathways within Maricopa County Parks. All park trails are designated for non-motorized use only, including:

  • Pedestrians
  • Bicycles
  • Horses

Roadway Use

OHVs may be permitted on designated roadways within the park only if they meet all requirements for street-legal use, including:

  • Valid registration and title
  • License plate
  • OHV decal
  • Required safety equipment (e.g., mirrors)
  • Compliance with age and operation laws

Air Quality & Safety

Operating vehicles on dirt or unpaved roads can generate dust and impact air quality. Regulations may vary across Maricopa County.

Before heading out, visitors are encouraged to:
