Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area is located approximately 35 miles north of central Phoenix and can be accessed via Interstate 17, State Route 51, or Loop 101.
- From the intersection of Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road, travel north on Cave Creek Road for approximately 2.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Spur Cross Road and continue for about 4.5 miles to the public parking area.
- After roughly 3 miles, Spur Cross Road becomes a graded dirt road.
- Continue straight for the remaining 1.5 miles, following the main road as it passes a greenhouse, continues through tall gateposts, and goes by horse corrals.
- The signed public parking area will be on the right.
- Please note that the final portion of the road is unpaved and may be rough in some areas.
