Trails & Equestrian Use

Visitors bringing horses must remain on designated trails. Unless otherwise posted, all trails are multi-use, and all users are encouraged to practice proper trail etiquette.


Horse Staging Area

A designated horse staging area is available within the park. Please refer to the maps section for trail access and route options.


Trail Overview

The park offers approximately 43 miles of trails, ranging from 0.49 to 7.4 miles in length and difficulty levels from easy to strenuous.

Horseback riders and mountain bikers are welcome; however, some trails include steep, rocky, or rugged terrain. Visitors should use caution and choose routes appropriate for their skill level.


Know Before You Go

  • All trails are multi-use unless otherwise designated
  • Practice proper trail etiquette and share the trail responsibly
  • Bring plenty of water—desert conditions can be extreme
  • Let someone know your plans before heading out

White Tank Mountain Regional Park offers a variety of trail experiences for hikers, bikers, and equestrians alike, set within the scenic Sonoran Desert.
