Usery Mountain Regional Park features more than 34 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Trail lengths range from short 0.2-mile routes to longer trails exceeding 7 miles, with options for all experience levels.
Easy: Merkle Trail (Barrier-Free)
For a shorter, more accessible option, the Merkle Trail offers a barrier-free experience with gentle grades—ideal for visitors of all abilities.
Challenging: Pass Mountain Trail (7.1 miles)
For a longer and more demanding hike, the Pass Mountain Trail circles Pass Mountain and provides sweeping views of the surrounding desert landscape.
Scenic Favorite: Wind Cave Trail
A popular route that climbs the mountainside, the Wind Cave Trail rewards hikers with elevated views and access to the adjacent Tonto National Forest.

The park’s elevation offers expansive vistas in every direction. From the open plains to the south to the surrounding mountain ranges in the west and north, visitors can enjoy sweeping desert views throughout their hike.
