Horseback Riding | Estrella Mountain Regional Park

Equestrian Access

Equestrians are welcome to ride their own horses at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. Riders must remain on designated trails at all times.

All trails are multi-use unless otherwise posted. Please practice proper trail etiquette and share the trail respectfully with hikers and cyclists.

A designated horse staging area is available within the park.

Trails

Estrella Mountain Regional Park offers roughly 58 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

Trail lengths range from 2.3 miles to 8.8 miles, with difficulty levels from easy to strenuous.

Recommended Routes

  • Baseline Trail (2.4 miles): A shorter, relatively easy option.
  • Pederson Trail (8.7 miles): A longer route suitable for an all-day outing.
