Reservation and Payment Information

Reservations Required

Visits to the Desert Outdoor Center are by reservation only.

Reservation Fee

• A reservation fee is required within 30 days of booking.
• The reservation fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.
• The reservation fee is separate from the visitation fee.

If the reservation fee is not received within 30 days, and no extension has been approved by the park supervisor, the Center reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Pre-Visit Planning

Center staff will contact your school or organization at least one month prior to your visit to assist with planning.

If your visit is less than one month away and you have not been contacted, please call the Center.

If you need to change your reservation dates or times:

• You must contact the Desert Outdoor Center for approval.
• Changes are subject to availability.
• An additional reservation fee will apply.

Payment Information

Payment or an approved Purchase Order is due at the time of arrival.

Please check in at the office upon arrival and departure.

Accepted payment methods:

• Cash
• Check
• Credit card
• School purchase order

If paying by purchase order, payment must be received within 30 days after the visit date.

Visitors are responsible for making payment arrangements before the visit.

Property Responsibility

Schools and organizations may be charged for damaged property or missing materials if determined to be the result of visitor actions. Any charges will appear on the invoice. The park supervisor will address any related questions.

Kitchen Use

There is an additional fee to use the kitchen.

Please note:

• The Desert Outdoor Center does not provide food or disposable items.
• At least one kitchen staff member must have a valid Food Handler’s Card.
• For information about obtaining a Food Handler’s Card, contact the Maricopa County Health Department at (602) 506-6900.

If you choose not to rent the kitchen:

• You will have access to one grill and one refrigerator.
• Please bring food in ice chests.
• Additional ice is available at the office at no charge.
