Picnic Areas
Hassayampa River Preserve offers two picnic areas, both available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Main Picnic Area
The main picnic area is located behind the Visitor Center among historic palm trees that were planted more than 100 years ago when the property operated as a working farm and ranch.
Please note:
- Trash receptacles are not available in this area. Visitors are asked to pack out all trash.
- Feeding wildlife is not permitted.
Mesquite Picnic Area
Additional picnic tables are located behind the restroom building, near the visitor parking lot. These tables are shaded by mesquite trees.
A drinking fountain and water bottle filling station are available at the restroom building.
