Cave Creek Regional Park offers more than 15 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Trail lengths range from 0.2 miles to 5.8 miles, and difficulty levels vary from easy to difficult.
If you prefer a short and easy hike, the Slate Trail is a good option.
For a longer and more challenging hike, consider the 5.8-mile Go John Trail.
The park’s trails are popular because the dramatic changes in elevation provide wide, scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
All trails are multi-use unless otherwise marked. Please follow proper trail etiquette to help keep the trail system safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Always carry plenty of water and let someone know where you are going before you begin your hike.
