The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be returning to the Waddell area, west of State Route Loop 303 (SR303L) to perform pavement preservation work as part of our ongoing commitment to keep roadways well-maintained. Chip seal work was performed on Olive and Glendale avenues last fall, and crews will be working at locations on the roadways where additional work is needed to meet MCDOT standards. Construction will take place beginning Tuesday, April 21 through Friday, April 24, 2026.
The project includes:
- Chip sealing the existing roadway.
- Applying new striping and pavement markings.
- Cleaning up the work zone and other miscellaneous work.
Drivers should plan for temporary daytime lane closures and possible delays in both directions. During construction, flagging operations will be in place to help direct traffic while work is underway. MCDOT appreciates your cooperation as
we complete these improvements. It is recommended to allow extra time for travel in the area. Please watch for work crews, reduce speeds and obey all traffic control signs in the work zone.
