Carefree Highway is currently closed between Lake Pleasant Parkway and Castle Hot Springs Road due to a serious traffic accident.
Park visitors may still enter and exit Lake Pleasant Regional Park by traveling west of Castle Hot Springs Road on Carefree Highway.
If you are trying to get back to the Phoenix area,
- Exit the main park entrance heading south on Castle Hot Springs Road (left),
- Take Carefree Highway west (right) to 211th Avenue south (left),
- Dove Valley Rd east (left),
- Then 203rd Ave south (right) to the US60 east (left).
Park visitors may still enter and exit Lake Pleasant Regional Park (west side of the lake) by traveling on 211th Avenue or the US 60 to Carefree Highway.
