Current volunteers
Thank you for your continued support of the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department. This page is designed to provide core volunteers with essential resources to help you prepare for and succeed in your role.
Returning Hosts
As you prepare to return for your volunteer service, please review the following important information:
Training
The required training curriculum is released each July for all staff and volunteers. You are welcome to begin completing required training courses prior to your return. However, all mandatory online training must be completed before you begin your volunteer duties.
Computer Access
All core volunteers use Volgistics to record volunteer hours and maintain their contact information. Please log in to confirm your username and password are active and your account information is up to date.
Account Access
If you are unable to remember your password, please use the password reset feature. If you are still unable to log in, contact the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to required systems.

Reporting Time / Entering Hours
Volgistics is the system used to track volunteer assignments and service hours. All volunteers should review the Entering Volunteer Hours guide for step-by-step instructions on accurately recording their time.
Uniforms
Core volunteers are provided with a uniform each year to wear during scheduled shifts. Upon arrival at your assigned park, staff will assist you with receiving your uniform.
Volunteer Handbook
The Volunteer Handbook is an important resource for all core volunteers and is available at any time. Please refer to it for program guidelines, expectations, and policies. Access the handbook here: parkvolunteer@maricopa.gov.
