Eco-Blitz 

Participate in the Eco-BLITZ program and help document biodiversity in Maricopa County’s regional parks.

Using the free, web-based iNaturalist app, visitors can contribute valuable data about local plants and animals while learning more about the natural world.


How to Participate

  1. Visit your favorite Maricopa County regional park.
  2. Locate a plant or animal.
  3. Take clear photos of the species.
  4. Attempt to identify the species using the iNaturalist app.
  5. Upload your observations to the app.
  6. Please adhere to the Eco-Blitz Safety Guidelines.

Observations submitted through iNaturalist are automatically recorded under the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department’s Eco-BLITZ project.
