Due to recent flooding along the Salt River, Segment 27 of the Maricopa Regional Trail is CLOSED between the Bush Highway Trailhead and Saguaro Trailhead.
Several portions of the trail are damaged or underwater, and the U.S. Forest Service has closed the Granite Reef Recreation Area for at least one month.
The trail will remain closed until conditions improve and the affected areas can be assessed for safety.
