MARICOPA TRAIL - Segment 22 Temporarily Closed Due To Wildfire Activity

The Wildcat Fire has increased slightly from 14,072 to 14,402 acres. Fire crews continue fire suppression operations, which has resulted in limited fire growth.

Please note that the Maricopa Trail has been impacted by the Wildcat Fire. The Bronco Trailhead to McDowell Sonoran Preserve area falls under the Tonto National Forest’s Emergency Stage 1 Fire Restrictions closure. The closure order is in effect to protect public health and safety due to firefighting operations. Bartlett Lake Road remains closed. For the safety of the public and firefighters, the public is urged to stay away from the area. The closure order is available on the Tonto National Forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/tonto/alerts-notices/?aid=87558.
