The hike is rated as difficult with 8.33 miles of hiking and 1431 ft of elevation gain on rocky steep trail. Hikers are required to have 3 liters of water, hiking boots or trail runners, snacks, and should bring a warm layer of clothing. Hiking poles are strongly encouraged especially for the many rocky sections of the hike. Water and bathrooms are located at the area 7 parking lot. Due to group pace the hike may take longer than 6.5 hours so please factor in a little buffer time.
