articipants will learn to identify native plants in their seed stage and how to harvest and clean native seeds in a sustainable way within the desert ecosystems of Maricopa County’s regional parks.
The initiative to harvest native seeds is a proactive step towards ecological restoration. These native seeds are selected for their resilience and ability to thrive in the local environment. Please bring work gloves, water, and a snack. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and closed-toed shoes. We will be meeting in the park's Nature Center.
Participants must be 13 years or older to participate in these events, if you are 13-17 you will need to be accompanied by an adult, or waiver and transportation provided by an adult.
