Clear skies permitting, we’ll be viewing a selection of objects through a portable telescope. Possibilities include planets, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters! We’ll also identify some major constellations with a laser pointer, and hear stories connected to them. Bring your sky-related questions! Family friendly program. Restrooms are available nearby, but please bring plenty of water. NO pets, please.
PLEASE NOTE: This program requires a hike to reach the stargazing location. Distance is roughly one mile each way. It includes a hike to the top of Lykes Lookout, which is a short, but steep and rocky trail. We will be hiking in the dark, which can be a hazard. Please be sure you are comfortable hiking and climbing at night before registering.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/14.
