Ranger Jacque will lead you on a hike to look for blooms, butterflies and other pollinators and plants! Color identification brochures provided. Discover how to document your findings on the citizen science app*, iNaturalist, and how your contributions help our local butterfly monitoring project as well as worldwide biodiversity projects. This easy to moderately-rated 2 mile hike will take us on a loop connecting the San Tan, Stargazer, and Moonlight trails. Expect some uneven, hilly, and rocky terrain, and remember to wear sturdy close-toed shoes, bring plenty of water, and dress for the weather. Bring a phone, camera, or notebook to log your observations (optional). Well-behaved dogs on leash OK. Restrooms are available at the Nature Center. *If you would like to learn how to document via iNaturalist, please download the free app at home and register with a username prior to arrival.
