Summer is here and so are our scorpion friends. We’ll start indoors in the Nature Center to get to know the species we might find, featuring up-close images and juicy details! Then, we'll walk with a ranger to see how many we can find. We’ll be exploring Desert Hawk Trail, a 0.5-mile loop hike located near (and starting from) the nature center.
Don’t forget to bring your blacklights, flashlights, water, and close-toed shoes. Please bring $10 cash exact change per vehicle to be paid upon entry or display your annual pass; no credit card nor digital payment options will be available. No pets, please.

Limit 30 participants. To register, please call the Usery Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend after registering, please call ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration closes 8/7/26.
