The hike will cover 2 miles over sections of Overton and Clay Mine trails. The trail is rocky and uneven in many places and over the length you will gain roughly 140ft in elevation. For this hike participants will need water, flashlights and must be wearing supportive closed toed shoes. If you have a blacklight feel free to bring it along to help in the search for scorpions. Water and bathrooms are located at the nature center.

To register, please call the Nature Center (or Discovery Center at LP or Visitor Center at HRP) at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/18/25.
