Come along for an early April morning walk as we try and catch the snakes sunbathing! We’ll be on the lookout for lizards and snakes getting out early to get their warm on so they can get about their day! Participants might include gopher snake, coachwhip, and maybe even rattlesnakes if we’re lucky! Look out for desert spiny lizards, regal lizards, and maybe even Gila Monsters! We’re likely to see tons of birds, mammals, and bugs too! So even if the reptiles are sleeping in, it’ll be an exciting morning for wildlife!
This hike will leave from the Parking Lot and travel on two trails: Metate, including the towhee loop, and Spur Cross before returning to the Parking Lot. Total distance traveled is about 2.5-miles.
