Join Ranger Shaun for an early morning snake spotting mission! Click program title for more details.

Come along for an early April morning walk as we try and catch the snakes sunbathing! We’ll be on the lookout for lizards and snakes getting out early to get their warm on so they can get about their day! Participants might include gopher snake, coachwhip, and maybe even rattlesnakes if we’re lucky! Look out for desert spiny lizards, regal lizards, and maybe even Gila Monsters! We’re likely to see tons of birds, mammals, and bugs too! So even if the reptiles are sleeping in, it’ll be an exciting morning for wildlife! This hike will leave from the Nature Center travel on multiple trails including Overton, Slate, Jasper, Go John, and Clay Mine before returning to the Nature Center. While there are many trails named, each section is very small. Total distance traveled is about 2-miles and is rated easy-moderate.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center Limit 10 participants.

To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 04/06/26.
