Join Ranger Shaun for a stroll among the trees in the relative cool of the morning. We’ll watch for birds, look for reptiles and mammals, and just generally enjoy the sights and sounds of the Preserve as the day warms up. Here in the riparian area, you never know what you might see seeking shelter from the desert heat.
This easy stroll moves along a couple mostly flat sandy trails in the Preserve suitable for most people with average mobility. There are a few stairs, roots, small holes, and minor slopes. Total distance varies but generally falls between 2 and 3 miles. Closed toed shoes and water bottles are required. Hike sticks and poles are not need but are welcome. Sunscreen and hats strongly recommended.
