Events

The hike will cover 4 miles round trip as an out and back on the Desert Rose trail. Over the hike participants will gain roughly 400ft of elevation on rocky and sandy trail. As it is summer, hikers are required to bring 2-3 liters of water with them in a small bag. It is highly recommended that hikers leave an additional bottle of water in their car for the end of the hike. Freezing the bottle overnight and letting it melt in the car can be one way to have cold water at the end of the hike. THERE IS NO WATER OR BATHROOMS AT THE TRAILHEAD. Water and bathrooms can be found at the Estrella Nature Center in the main section of the park.
