Stop by the nature center and learn about how to safely hike in the desert heat with Ranger Derik.

Ranger Derik will have a table set up in the nature center with a sample pack of what he recommends hikers carry during a day hike in the park. Topics covered will be how to plan a hike, basic map reading, water, how to prepare, what gear to bring, what to wear, etc. Feel free to stop by and ask questions about anything hiking related.
