Learn about birds of Sonoran Desert and migrant water birds on this walk with Ranger Eric. We will first meet at the Wild Burro Day Use Area, then caravan in our respective vehicles a short distance up Desert Tortoise Rd. or Two Cow Rd. where we can scan the lake for water birds with a scope and binoculars. We may see ducks, loons, grebes, and gulls out on the lake. As time allows and if we are wanting to get different light and angles on rarer birds on the lake, we may drive over to other vantage points around the lake. Please dress in layers, wear protective footwear and sun protection, and carry ample water and snacks for yourself. The ranger will have a scope for the group to look through, but if you have your own binoculars or scope, please bring them.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 1/20.
