Ranger Shaun leads this picturesque hike to watch the sun set while also learning about the amazing Sonoran Desert. As we wander North Loop under the moon, we’ll look for critters and discuss the some of the natural forces that sculpt the desert and impact the organisms that live there.
Dress warmly as the desert can get quite cold this time of year. Closed toed shoes, water bottles with drinking water, and flashlights are required. This is a mostly flat easy rated trail but walking poles are welcome as we will be walking in the dark.
North trail trailhead is about as far as you can get from the entrance of the park, allow yourself about 10 – 15 minutes of drive time from the gate to the trail.
