So just what IS an invasive species anyway and why all the fuss? Ranger Shaun is glad you asked. Click program title for more details.

Invasive species can be a tricky concept. After all, humans introduce some species of plants or animals and those are okay, but others have to be controlled or wiped out. What gives? Turns out, a lot. And the more we learn the more we still have to learn. Drop by this Discovery Station for a glimpse into the world of ecosystems, ecology, and invasive species. Learn what makes a species suited for becoming “invasive,” what that means exactly, and why it’s bad. Learn what can be done and how you can help, should you choose to.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center

No registration required.
