After you finish your morning hike, stop by the Nature Center to talk with Ranger Derik about the plants and animals you saw on your hike, as well as how to hike safely in the desert.
Ranger Derik will be available to answer questions about the native plants and animals that are found in San Tan Mountains Regional Park, as well as any other questions you have about the Sonoran Desert. A table will be set up displaying a collection of items that have been collected from around Maricopa County including snake skins, desert edible foods and native American artifact. MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center No registration required.
