Ranger Olivia leads this picturesque hike to watch the sunset while also learning about saguaros along the way. We will see the sunset, saguaros, a crested saguaro, possibly saguaro fruits, and maybe some evening critters as well. You may bring your blacklight and regular flashlight to look for evening critters(optional). This hike will be about 2 miles along the Rock Peak wash trail, where the terrain is mostly sandy and slightly uneven. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. There are NO restrooms or water available the trailhead so be sure to bring plenty of water with you! This entrance to the park does not have an entry station and is CASH ONLY, please bring $10 cash per vehicle for the entry fee.

MEETING LOCATION: Rock Peak Wash Trailhead. Be aware this is NOT the main entrance to the park and is 5-10 additional minutes past Phillips Road.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 09/07/26.
