We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to, spiders, snakes, fox, coyote, deer, owls and of course scorpions! Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. This will be about a 2-mile hike starting on the Go John trail, where we will connect onto the Claymine trail, and finally the Overton trail to create a loop. These trails are mostly flat with some unlevel, or rocky areas and slight elevation gain so please wear close toed shoes. There are restrooms and water near the trailhead, please no pets. The Entry Station will be closed so please bring $10 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. Please check the program listing online before coming to the park.
