Join Ranger Olivia on a night hike to search for all things creepy and crawly. Click program title for more details.

We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to, spiders, snakes, foxes, coyotes, deer, owls and of course scorpions! Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. This will be about a 2-mile out and back hike along Roadrunner trail; this trail is rated easy and is mostly flat with some unlevel, or rocky areas so please wear close toed shoes. There will be restrooms but no water available at the meeting location so please bring plenty of water. Please no pets.


MEETING LOCATION: Roadrunner Trailhead at Ten Lane. When entering the park, make your first right turn and continue down South Park Rd until you reach the Ten lane boat ramp. Turn left, then followed by a right at the stop sign and meeting location will be straight ahead near the restrooms.

Limit 30 participants. To register, please email Ranger Olivia at olivia.holderness@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 05/22/2026.
