Hike 2.2 miles through a forest of cacti with Ranger Derik and learn about the many species that call the Sonoran Desert home. Click program title for more details.
On this hike, learn about the many adaptations that cacti use to help survive the harsh desert climate. The Lost Sheep Trail is 2.2 miles long and is rated as easy. The trail winds through cacti and washes so it is encouraged that you wear sturdy close toed shoes. There are bathrooms and water fountains at the nature center make sure you have plenty of water at the beginning of the hike it gets hot fast here. Please meet for the hike at the Nature Center and don’t forget the sunscreen.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/6/23.
