Discover the fascinating world of the saguaro cactus at this presentation-style program with Ranger Jacque!

Join us for an hour-long presentation exploring the iconic saguaro cactus, a symbol of the Sonoran Desert. Through images and engaging discussions, we’ll highlight the distinctive features and ecological importance of these remarkable plants, which support numerous desert species. Attendees of all ages will learn about the saguaro's fascinating characteristics, from its towering presence to its essential role in the ecosystem. Kids can enjoy hands-on activities like crafts and coloring pages, while adults will appreciate the depth of knowledge shared. With a chance to briefly step outside (optional) and see saguaros in their natural setting, this program offers a comprehensive look at these desert giants—all while staying in the cool comfort of the library.
