Ranger Nikki will lead you on a hike to observe birds, insects, mammals and reptiles starting their day and learn about a variety of cacti showcasing their summer blooms. National Pollinator Week is June 17-23 so we will pay special attention to activity taking place on and around blooming vegetation and talk about ways you can promote pollinator health in your own yard. The route follows Blevins Trail to Amigos Wash Trail, which is rated moderate and has deep sand for one mile. The return route uses NoSo Trail, which varies from level surfaces to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging, east side Blevins access. (map link below)
