Join us this year as we team up with the National Recreation and Park Association- Parks for Pollinators BIOBLITZ!
Have you ever wanted to learn more about butterflies? Well, here is your chance! The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a butterfly workshop to help you identify and understand butterflies.
And several butterfly monitoring events to help determine population trends, species richness, and diversity within the county.

Saturday, September 20, 2025, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, meet at the Dragonfly Parking Lot
Please bring water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes. Optional equipment: camera, binoculars, and a butterfly ID Book. We will be hiking in the desert environment.
Participants should be 18 or older; young adults (13 ) may participate with parental supervision.
