This approachable walk is on a 0.8-mile loop on barrier-free gravel terrain with little elevation gain. We go at a comfortable, strolling pace, pausing at a few stops along the way to discover what makes the Sonoran Desert so unique, making this perfect for beginners, photographers, families, and nature-lovers of all abilities! Absorb the beauty of the desert during this one-hour outdoor program. Make sure you bring water and close-toed shoes. We will meet at the Merkle trailhead where a picnic area and restrooms are available.
MEETING LOCATION: Area 6 (Merkle trailhead with picnic area/restrooms)
Limit 25 participants. To register, please call the Usery Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 11/05/26.
