Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) is teaming up with Maricopa County Parks & Recreation to bring you Tails Around Town on Tour—a chance for shelter pups to enjoy a break from kennel life and hit the trail with a volunteer hiker.
The adventure kicks off with a short welcome session where you’ll meet adoptable dogs, pick up a few trail-etiquette tips, and learn how to make the hike fun and safe for your four‑legged companion. Then it’s off on a ranger‑led walk along an easy, scenic trail.
Every dog you meet will be available for adoption right on-site. By the time you wrap up your hike, you’ll know you’ve given a deserving pup some fresh air, exercise, and one‑on‑one attention—and who knows, you might even discover your new favorite hiking buddy.
Space is limited to eight participants, and registration is required. Ready to hit the trail with a tail‑wagging friend?
