Get your blood pumping and start your morning with a 3.5-mile hike on the Dynamite Trail with Ranger Derik. Click program title for more details.
We will meet at the Gold Mine Trailhead to start the hike; there is a porta potty, but no water so please bring plenty of water with you. We will be hiking on sandy and rocky terrain and up and over hills for 3.5 miles so make sure to have sturdy shoes and if balance is an issue walking sticks or trekking poles are a big help. Throughout the hike we will be talking about the plant and animal species that call the Sonoran Desert home.
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center (or Discovery Center at LP or Visitor Center at HRP) at (602) 506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/22/23.
