Join Ranger Kevin as we celebrate National Take-A-Hike Day by - you guessed it - taking a hike! We'll be climbing the moderately difficult Yavapai Point trail, an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 3.4 miles. At the top, we will be rewarded with a tremendous view of Lake Pleasant. A perfect way to commemorate the day, knock a few miles off your "100 Miles in 100 Days" challenge, and perhaps spot some interesting plants and animals along the way.

No need to register for this hike; just show up! Come to the north entrance of the Lake, and park at the Cottonwood Trailhead lot. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Please bring your own water, and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. No pets, please.
