Welcome the turkey vultures back from their winter homes in Mexico as hundreds migrate over and come in to roost by the Wickenburg pedestrian bridge on their way north! See Wild at Heart's rescued vulture "Mojo" up close, learn about these fascinating creatures from wildlife biologists, and hear about our partner organizations that put this special event on: Town of Wickenburg, Maricopa County Parks/Hassayampa River Preserve, Arizona Game & Fish Department, Wickenburg Conservation Foundation, Friends of Hassyampa, and other guests. Activities available for kids and adults! Binoculars and spotting scopes will also be available to borrow to get a closer look at these amazing birds! The event is free!
The pedestrian bridge is next to downtown Wickenburg and the Hwy. 60 bridge over the Hassayampa River bed. Public parking is available in nearby downtown Wickenburg within easy walking distance of the bridge. Join us for this fun and educational wildlife spectacle!
