100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge: Trailhead Drop-in Info Session

Stop by the Trailhead to learn about this fun Challenge brought to you by the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department!

This is an outdoor drop-in program. The County Parks annual 100 Miles in 100 Days fitness challenge is just around the corner, starting on November 1. Are you ready? Join this informal drop-in session to learn how this fun and exciting program works and how you can get on board to connect with nature, get some exercise and make new friends. We’ll share information on: County Park locations and trails, the Maricopa Trail, social media interaction, guided hikes and more. The Challenge is also open to mountain bikers and horseback riders, with a goal of 200 miles. Stop by the table set up at the main entrance trailhead any time between 9 and 11am.

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation COVID guidelines:

  • Know before you go. Check the website or call ahead to ensure the program has not been canceled. Be prepared for limited access to facilities and water fountains.
  • Bring a mask. Although this is an outdoor program, frequent stops may be made so the ranger can explain or highlight items along the trail(s). Masks will be required during these stops. Masks are also required in restrooms and the nature center.
  • Physical distancing. Observe the CDC’s minimum recommended physical distancing of six (6) feet from others at all times. Share the trail and warn other trail users of your presence as you pass.
  • Personal hygiene. Follow the CDC’s guidance on personal hygiene prior to visiting parks or trails.
  • Other. Do not use parks or trails if you are exhibiting symptoms. If you sneeze while recreating on a trail, please sneeze into your elbow to avoid the spread of germs.
