Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike as we look at and learn about the plants and ecology of the Sonoran Desert, including our desert’s iconic saguaros and other cacti. We will hike an easy-rated 1.3-mile loop of the Littleleaf Trail and a bit of the Goldmine Trail from the Nature Center. Trails are dirt and mostly flat, but with occasionally uneven, rocky, or sandy surfaces, so please wear sturdy footwear. Please wear sun protection and carry ample water with you. Restrooms are available at the Nature Center.
This hike is a great way to make progress towards your goal if you are participating in Maricopa County Park’s “100 Miles in 100 Days” hiking challenge (Nov. 1-Feb. 8).
