Enjoy an easy-paced walk with Ranger Nikki to enjoy the sunset over the lake and watch the rising full moon peek over the horizon. We will walk along Roadrunner Trail to the Discovery Center parking lot, with its great views, and return by walking along the asphalt road. The walk is approximately one mile total. Roadrunner Trail is rated easy with a slight elevation gain and has small to medium rocks underfoot. The road is paved and level. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and a water fountain are available at the Day Use Area parking lot. (Please note: The Discovery Center will not be open at this time).

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (http://www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s status. Please check the program listing online before coming to the park.
