Join Ranger Olivia for a hike to see and learn about the stunning saguaros during sunset. Click program title for more details.

Ranger Olivia leads this picturesque hike to watch the sunset while also learning about saguaros along the way. We will see the sunset, saguaros, saguaro blossoms, and maybe some evening critters as well. You may bring your blacklight and regular flashlight to look for evening critters(optional). This hike will be about 2.5 miles starting on the San Tan trail, where the terrain is mostly flat but is rocky and uneven in spots, and then we will move onto the Stargazer trail, and finally loop on to the Moonlight trail, which does have some hilly and sandy areas. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center near the trailhead but be sure to bring plenty of water with you!

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. Please check the program listing online before coming to the park.
