This year, celebrate National Public Lands Day by joining Ranger Kevin for a bicycle ride in beautiful White Tank park! This is a fun, family-friendly program where we will be taking a two-mile ride right on the park’s roads. Since we’ll be using the roads, that means no big bumps, rocks or cactus to worry about. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Bathrooms are available near the meeting location. It’s safety first, so sunscreen, hats, helmets, elbow and knee pads are strongly recommended. Please dress for safety as well as comfort, wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. The Ranger will be there before and after the ride to answer any questions you may have about the park, National Public Lands Day, or bicycle safety. He’ll also have recommendations on great trails for biking (and hiking) all over our vast county park system. For their safety and the safety of others, please leave the furry family members at home for this one. Ride starts promptly at 9:00am, so get there early! (Park admission of $7 per vehicle applies; if you ride your bike to the park, admission is $2 per person.)
