Join Ranger Nikki to learn about our desert plants and see if any monsoon rains have provided a chance for new growth. Click program title for more details.
Take an easy-paced walk with Ranger Nikki to see the resilient plants of our desert, including cacti, trees, shrubs and maybe a few summer wildflowers, if monsoon rain has been favorable. The route follows Cinch and part of Scenic Trail for an out-and-back walk of about 2 miles. The terrain is mostly smooth and level but there are a few spots that are sandy or uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. There is little elevation gain. Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat and sun-protective clothing. Bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead.
